If a few teachers are available who are prepared to work like dedicated sanyasins, are ready to become Maitri by surrendering themselves to the society, then it is possible to cause a social revolution by education. With this spirit Maitri Vidyapith started this B.Ed College in 1988. Recognized by the Government of Gujarat and affiliated with Saurashtra University.
The College started on its educational pilgrimage having got necessary building with full facilities, equipments and furniture, books in the library etc.
Started to teach only the B.Ed course, this college has further offering part time M.Ed.course for the 7 years. The college has further expanded its work in the field of guiding the Ph.D candidate and so far has helped 20 candidates to acquire that degree of great honor.
Collage got the affiliation as a research Institute for M.A(Education) by Saurashtra University in the year 2016

- Admission is given by Saurashtra University Central Admission Committee to all affiliated colleges. The policies and parameters of admission are provided in a written form to applicants by the committee. The process is open, transparent, computerized and widely published for the society.
